spreaders

My Feeling 1090 has spreaders with hinges at the mast.

At what angle should the spreaders meet the mast ?

I have set them at 5 degrees and would like to know if this is correct.

5° is about the angle I set my spreaders, just because it makes more sense than horizontal, and I feel looking better like that. But I dont know the accurate angle, and dont think it is specified somewhere. The rigging professionals advices would certainly be essential.
Selden web site may have some guidelines as well.

Do the upper spreaders get set at the same angle?

Yes, looking at my 1090 and at the 1040 beside her, I would say the upper spreads have about the same angle.
5° is may be not the exact angle, but it is about.
Look at this drawing to see the angle. Just to avoid the shrouds slipping on the spreaders.
