Dear friends, I have noticed that there is some play on the top of the mast during sailing. Is this normal or my rigging needs adjustment. Do you have any measurements as to the tension of the rigging?
One friend who was sailmaker said me that standing rigging under wind have to begin to be weak (or soft) when th boat is on the wind. with 15 knts of wind. Under 15knts, rigging is well enough tence.
So with this empiric rule try to balance the standing rigging.
After, for the rake,, you have to balance the forestay and backstay
