SUJET :

The 1090 has two nice air vents at the front into the main cabin ... but, they leak.

The problem is, inside the cover of the vent is a piece of wood ... in time, this becomes rotten, and the seal between the deck and the vent is lost ... the solution? Fix the tube directly into the deck with silicone, then mount the cover on a bracket.

I started this work today, I will make more photos in the installation.



The pieces, cut from 5083 aluminium



formed in the press, with thread fittings. The cover will be secured with 4 x stainless bolts to the deck, 4 bolts to the cover.

I will make some extra holes in the cover to allow any water to escape.
