HOW WATER HEATERS

I have a 1987 model 1040 and want to fit a hot water heater for a shower and kitchen use. Can anyone advise on this please.

Bonne idée, mais il te faut quelques prérequis, d'abord quel est ton type de moteur ? si tu as un Volvo 2003, ce sera facile car il faut simplement adapter un échangeur eau douce eau salée au dessus du démarreur à la sortie du THERMOSTAT. Ce systeme va permettre d'injecter l'eau douce chaude vers le second échangeur, un simple ballon d'eau chaude qui se loge au dessus du moteur du frigo a gauche de la gaziniere. Par ailleurs, ce ballon est relié électriquement à la batterie pour chauffer via la résistance. Tu obtiens peu d'eau, mais elle est tellement chaude, qu'il faut vraiment faire attention à la sortie, sous la douche et bien prévenir tes équipiers. Bon courage a toi et belle année

When my old boiler failed I removed it and changed it for the following Type: Boiler Quick B3
(Quick Water Heater 20 litre 1200W Round shape with heat exch ZQUIQKB32012S £269.44 price in 2018)

It just fit perfectly and was relatively simple to install.
However my boat is a Feeling 1090 (1991) and I am not certain the 1040 is designed similarly. The location is right side of the Cooker on the top shelf of the locker.
I you wish I can take a couple of pictures of the stuff in a few days.

After seeing Alain's comment I realise that I forgot to mention my engine is a Yanmar 3GM30F hooked up directly to the boiler hence I can get hot water either after using the engine or when moored and connected to 220v power.

Bonjour. Une autre idée. Pour des douches occationnelles, j'utilise le 3eme bac que je remplis d'eau chaude avec la bouilloire et ensuite par une vanne je le connecte à la douche. Simple et pas de poids supplémentaire pour le bateau.

Hello. An other idea. For occasional showers, I use the 3rd tank that I fill with hot water with the kettle and then by a valve I connect it to the shower. Simple and no additional weight for the boat.
